What does that have to do with boats?

Well we can't hunt on sundays here; so giving up my monday-tuesday bird hunting to get the boaat out of the 1 mile underground mine.  Because of the virus hoax, I have to make an appointment and then have them find my boat and bring it out.

when I get it hooked up, will tow to lake, 150 miles.  then change oil, gear oil, and new prop.  Drive back tueday evening, hunt wed.

Boats are a lot of work.

BOATS ARE A LOT OF WORK!!!!!
Ours opened the 13th.
Have not been out once yet.
LONG drive to find turkeys that I can shoot, in Montana, from here.
I have a tag but I think it will be a fall thing. Sometimes where we beer hunt we find turkeys.
I wonder what an 8mm rem mag will do to a turkey???

any pics of a turkey hit with an 8mm mag would like a tornado of feathers covered with blood.

I've shot many with the 7mmRM, all head shots. A body shot just wastes ammo and a good dinner. Don't have to worry about nibbling on BB's with a rifle.

Wife said I'm not allowed to reach out the bedroom window and strangle one....may have to rethink my hunting strategy....

IBD, same here for spring wobbler. Fall we can snipe them....just not as cool as smearing crap all over us and hiding in a bush making funny noises.

A bird on the table doesn't care if it was put there by a boolut, shot or those nifty switch-bladed flying machete's.

This brings me back to the wife....
Hunting is the ethical way of dispatching a critter to eat right? Then they say it's unfair to use a gun. So I equal the playing field and just say I'll reach out the window and strangle the bastar** as they dig through the flower bed outside...….well that's just cruel and unethical...….just no pleasing folks.

Got out at 5am; opened at 5:45.  Perfect day, no moon, 39oF, clear sky.

had 24 birds fly down at 5:55.  Too many hens.  had 6 hens in decoys; talked to 5 Toms.  One tom at 55 yards.  2 toms at 100 yards.  all toms were linked to hens.  toooo many hens.

5 deer all withing 40 yards; one came in 7 yards and licked my plastic decoy!  love????

No Sunday hunting, no hunting afte noon for the first 2 weeks.   No stalking or run n gun allowed.  only calling.  Can move toward any bird you hear.  Actually I love it.  Most guys here cheat.

Tired, just ate lunch...might need a knap!

#1? Deer licking the decoy. hmmm...On WTAJ today Bear, deer in Portage found dead with Rabbies. Was it hangry?

#2? The knap? Tired or messy lunch? Maybe a nice lunch of acorn butter on corn bread while turkey hunting is in order?

Stay with it Bear. You'll get one.

I haven't hunted Turkeys in a long time but it sure is fun.

Good luck Bear.
