i guess a discussion involving EXPLORERALPHA got heated and spilled over into another forum (AOL?) and he received quite a bit of harrassment over there because of this. due to that harrassment, i also deleted the topic in question. it looks like someone on the AOL forum googled his username and found the BSB discussion and gave him shit about it there - so it was deleted. also, at his request, his membership was unfortunately deleted as well because of the AOL postings. i would never have thought that a discussion here would result in an indirect attack on another forum, but it just goes to show that some folks on other forums have no class and will go out of their way to harrass people who try to post in good faith. after reviewing the thread in question i see both sides of the argument. i realize that it was a legitimate, though heated discussion, so i am not crying foul on anyone or placing any blame on anyone here. we get into discussions like this all the time and there are no hard feelings - however, i am sorry to lose a member over it and ask that we all keep discussions civil at least in the open forums. thanks. ------------- TasunkaWitko - Chinook, Montana  Helfen, Wehren, Heilen Die Wahrheit wird euch frei machen |

wing - no, he didn't get the boot. he requested the deletion of his account because someone on another forum googled his username and found his postings here. after getting a little more information, it looks like this person made some very personal attackes on his wife and also photoshopped the pix he had of the kids. it was because of this that he asked for the thread to be deleted and for his account to be deleted. as it turns out, it had nothing to do with the argument that was going on, which was my erronous assumption. in short, there was no wrongdoing over here, and no cries of harm or foul against anyone here. the deletion of the thread and the account was something that explorer requested in order to prevent any further harrassment, i guess. ------------- TasunkaWitko - Chinook, Montana Helfen, Wehren, Heilen Die Wahrheit wird euch frei machen |
