This is from Paul Kirk's Championship Barbeque. It is reputed to be a copy of original recipe.

Makes about 1/2 cup

2 tablespoons powdered bay leaf
2 tablespoons celery salt
1 tablespoon dry mustard (coleman's is great)
2 teaspoons finely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon Hungarian Paprika
1 teaspoon cayene pepper
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

Blend well. Stores up to year in airtight container in cool, dark place.

This is my go to seasoning for EVERYTHING.

Thanks for the recipe, seems to be light on celery seed?  using only 2 Tbls of celery salt

if it were me, i'd use celery seed rather than salt.

2 tbsp may not seem like much, but that celery seed is strong stuff; plus, the recipe only makes 1/2 cup.
