Prayers for Max

I truly hope max is doing better. I've always enjoyed his postings. His humor is first rate and his temperment quite extraordinary.

Fellas I have some really bad news.Max is paralyzed on the left side of his body and was able to move his right hand a bit the day after it happened.His condition has worsened and he is pretty much unaware of anything around him.He tried to smile the day before yesterday and took a sip of water but his condition now is worse and he is unable to do much of anything.I talked with his son in law Monday and it doesn`t look good fellas.He is not in pain,that is a good thing.His son in law told me that we will most likely never have Max back online with us to shoot the breeze ever again at the very least.His family is doing as good as can be expected under the conditions and they wanted me to relay their thanks to everyone who has expressed well wishes and concern for Max and his family..I really hate this had to happen to such a good man and I know it is selfish on my part but I am sure gonna miss that man...

Hello, I had an update here a few days ago but lost it in an editing process when the site died. I received an email today and will update.

First off his family offers a very heart felt thankyou for your support. As you can imagine the outpouring of concern and good wishes has been coming in, both from here and I can only imagine in spades from his local community, friends and neighbors. I think we can also understand just how busy they must be at the present moment and I have been asked to let those of us on this side where things stand for the time being. I do know they very much appreciate all the support they've been getting here and from Timbers group and once again offer their thanks for your support.

Max began physical therapy Saturday and is responding. He appears to be understanding but not yet being able to respond in a fashion that he wants. I would say he's hanging in there and is doing better than last week for sure.

He has a whole lot of friends offereing support, gun pals, coffee shop pals etc, etc, It was stated "he has a deep bench" I kinda like how that was put. He has no shortage of people that are there for him and that makes me feel real good inside. I'll let you all know more as I know it and be sure to know all your thoughts and good wishes are appreciated by Max and his family

I have an update on Max.

I received a letter from Max yesterday. A little shaky writing but easy to read. He says his kids put him in a resort for two months without his permission. That sounds like our old Max.

Also says he's doing pretty good, a little at a time.

Glad to hear you're alive and getting better Max. We're all pullin' for you to get back to your old self.

	not haviong a computer anymore is the pits; i just found out about this. i sincerely hope that max has a speedy recovery and that he'll be doing well soon. this place is much worse off without him. prayers, thoughts and wishes to him and his family.

	GR...As of my last contact with his family on the 25th.He is still in the same state.Unresponsive but his lungs and heart are well.He may indeed pull out of this .Who knows,but miracles happen all the time... Gene

Max, be sure and have a couple of those young nurses scrub you down real good in the bathtub. (If that's not therapeutic then nothing is.) Then do what they tell you to do. 	As it has been over two weeks since the onset of Max's symptoms and he is still hanging on to the "beach head" I propose the we the BSB try and send him something that let's him know that we are thinking of him even if he is unable to comprehend it or not. He may be able to feel our concern for his well being. Maybe a BSB bumper sticker at the foot of his bed? Any ideas? DD Edited by deaddog
