Just a thought.
It looks super. But you are still in the Beta teast phase. You have some time, now. Might want to fit a set of dolly wheels (wheelbarrow wheels with pipe axle to the unit. So should you break down far from the truck...you could tow it back with a ATV. Just thoughts

The "VIN" number specialist called me today.
She said with the holiday she is all jammed up, but if I can make it to the DMV at 3:30 she will observe the installation of the VIN tab and sign off. I pick up the GD at three on the other side of town. I'll have to have the dog loaded up and take it with me to get her. After this I need an officer to sign off that it is really on the unit. That will make 4 inspections BEFORE getting it registered. Crazy or what?

She informed me I DO not need an officer to check our work" she" ranks higher in the VIN order then an officer, ok then we are off. Next step coming.

 Congratulations. Good job and nearly done with Govt interference! Will there be an license requirement like truck, atv etc??? The cleats will still have restrictions for surfaces they can be used on I'd guess.

I wanted to try taller tires for the Dogg trailer.
8'' instead of 6". can't go any bigger or they touch. No Hub on the trailer so the wheels have 2 bearings pressed in to the wheel hub. The 6'' wheels don't have as much sideways presser do to being smaller but have a backer plate, the larger ones did not.  I tried them and broke the center out of one of them. I made a backer plate and made some Star support for them, They wont brake out now, I hope.   PS My $13 switches for my little welder are working fine so far. Going to try it out Thursday in the Mountains. The hunt we do for the little GD is on private land but very steep and horrible roads. The bumper buddy will stay home. I barrowed some 4wheeler ramps and put it in the back of the truck.  Edited by d4570 - 19 October 2021 at 14:34 |
