I'd need a drive shaft but I could set it way lower in the boat.
Not in the plan (yet).
Going to move the motor and drive unit to the VREY back of the boat.
It's about a move of 10" back, I'll move the tank and cage after.
That is about 500 pounds moved.
The prop and rudders will be past the very end of the boat
 
Remember: Four boxes keep us free ,the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, AND the cartridge box

It seems like, by moving motor back, you're countering, adding the pods? Isn't it going to sit too low in rear, like before you added pods? Moving 500lbs 10" aft, in a short boat, seems like a big move.

I'll let you know.....
Before the motor set 10" from the end of the boat.
Now with the pods and moving the motor .
 It will be 20" from the new end of the boat.
SOOOO I don't know...
Maybe I wont have to tip the prop so far skyward?????
