I'd need a drive shaft but I could set it way lower in the boat. Not in the plan (yet). Going to move the motor and drive unit to the VREY back of the boat. It's about a move of 10" back, I'll move the tank and cage after. That is about 500 pounds moved. The prop and rudders will be past the very end of the boat |

It seems like, by moving motor back, you're countering, adding the pods? Isn't it going to sit too low in rear, like before you added pods? Moving 500lbs 10" aft, in a short boat, seems like a big move.

I'll let you know.....
Before the motor set 10" from the end of the boat. Now with the pods and moving the motor . It will be 20" from the new end of the boat. SOOOO I don't know... Maybe I wont have to tip the prop so far skyward????? |
