Fella's;
I am informed that CZ has ceased all production of the 452 rimfire models. The last 452's are the Grand Finale edition, of which only a thousand were made. The G.F. is supposed to be a high gloss, engraved (and actual engraving, not rollmarked) and have upgrade wood stocks. They are currently selling at just under $1,100.00 each. The left handed 452's are now done also, but I would expect that new one's will be in the pipeline for a year or two. The sad thing about that is that the company repeatedly states that they have no interest in making a 455 lefty version. If that holds true, get a lefty 452 while you still can at a reasonable price. Though all 452 prices are rising. I know there are several CZ owners on this site & I think all of us that have rimfires have 452's. Does anybody out there own a CZ455? For those interested, the same situation holds true with the standard action centerfires. The CZ550, with a Mauser action, is being phased out & the replacement CZ557 is a push-feed gun. The mini-Mauser CZ527 remains a Mauser, so far. And, as far as I know, there are no plans to change that in the near future. Further down the line, who knows? 900F Edited by CB900F |

They discontinued my CZ Bobwhite 28ga back in 2015. Value has gone up at least $150 since then. Many of their products seem to have more human involvement than other companies production or automation, that is to say not so "stamped out" like an 870 Express. DD |

I have a right handed 455 Evolution, with the cutout
blue/tan laminated stock and a heavy barrel. It is in 17 HMR. Nice rifle. I have a 542 FS in 22 lr. The 452 has a threaded barrel, like a CF. The 455 has a clamp on barrel sort of like the 10-22. So the advantage is you can SWAP barrels on the 455. IIRC they are keeping the 550 in its african version. |

There must be economics involved in all the goings on at
CZ....profit drives all happenings at a business. |

The 542 is an ancient design, but has a small cult
following. The 455 with easy interchangeable barrels lets them and owners switch as all the new RF come on . |
