You got it? You going to fix it?
It is caused by not enough load on your factory flasher. I had a brake light go out on the ford. There is two so I was not concerned, but it drove the wife nutz. It make one side flash very fast. I had to get some stuff from Amazon so I ordered replacements 4 in the back and two up front. I got LED's I'm replacing all lights with LED's as they go out. cheep enough at $7 for two, I got 4 red and 2 amber. I had herd of Hyper flash so I was not supersized at the result. YUP now they all flash fast. It does not bother me and the truck does not throw a code like some do. If the wife doesn't see the difference I'll leave it. If she does instead of putting 6 resistors I found a LED flasher for the truck, $13 bucks. One thing leads to another.

OOPS!
There is no flasher in my ford. The computer onboard does the flashing. If it detects a bulb it flashes 80 times a minute. If it does not,( like an led bulb) it flashes 160 times a minute. The sound you hear is a made up sound, to sound like a flasher. I can only wonder when the truck's computers will wipe my A$$ so I don't forget... Hope it does not mess something else up not running regular lights.

Regular bulbs (filament) need time to heat up and glow. If faster than 80 FPM they appear to just stay on, no flash. LED bulbs cat flash faster, no warm up. at 2000 FPM all lights will appear on the eye as always on. Just cause you wanted to know.

Does your Ford have a different feeling blinker switch? My wife has a 2012 F-150 and it does. It's like it doesn't have a detent or something. I do kinda like the part where you can kinda half switch it and it will blink 3 times for changing lanes. But I wish it would bling 4 or 5 times. Wing master

Mine clicks 4 times, but now it is very FAST 4 blinks.
Yes you can tell the blinker handle does not do anything, all electric.
