Went an outdoor sport show the other day. They had a cool 22 yr old redheaded double breasted mattress thrasher wench, dressed with a synthetic rope wrapped around her in exactly the right places. I talked to her for awhile and asked her about how the rope worked, She said her main problem was that it stretched when put on tightly , and the loosened up , causing some embarrasment as certin parts of the hidden areas became visable. We discussed the attributes of 9000 lb wench and an an 7000 lb wench. She directed me to the next booth, and a real heavy duty wench was setting there. It must have taken two-three guys to load her on the truck, becasue she tipped the scales at least 300 lb. So I returned to the rope warpped one, and we discussed several differnet areas. She said she always like to rotate at least 180 degrees before final seating, and definitely preferred non break away stirrups as she had trouble keeping things in the saddle and definitely wanted things to stay where they where when the rodeos started. She also had definite ideas about firearms I guess, because she said she preferred rapid fire, instead of the slow pace of working the bolt during the heat of the moment. She must have been a big bore magnum fan, because she said liked her projectiles big in diameter and long. I guess I could have learned a lot more, but my attention started to wane as the rope wrapping was slowing becoming unwrapped from the stetched amount. I figure we could start talking about snatch----------- -------er blocks, but my wife came back from the other side of the show boths and I hurriedly made my way over to the 9000 lb wench. The wife said I had better get my sorry butt back home, wench or no wench, or I would feel like I had a steel cable wrapped around a part of my anatomy and it sure wouldn't stretch any.

If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles |

I preffer using' new snatch blocks verses gett'n one off ebay. Ya gotta be careful with used snatch blocks, if they get loose they can start tear'n at your cable and then all hell can break loose. That's the last thing ya need when yer in trouble get a tear in yer cable from a bad snatch and then the thing starts fly'n around and who know's what's gonna happen. Sounds like you "spotted" at least one good wench.. I like red trim (I bought a warn) myself.. but those double breasted models are real expensive. The winch I got is one of the "ultimate performance" series. It's water proof and takes one hell of a beating, sounds like that wench must have been ready for business, especially if she was fixed up for a big guage cable! Hey wonder what that blonde's doin' right now.. should have taken a picture of her so's I could see it while I'm around other women. Just goes to show ya that when you don't have a wench just about any wench is a pleasing sight. Spot |
