140 goose decoys half silhouettes and half windsock.
Hole puncher for decoy wires.
7 boxes of shells, two pieces of burlap for hiding.
two lunches, water, coffee, shooting muffs, extra cold weather gear for sitting in 25* 35 mph wind.
two guns, optics, normal "pack" stuff. One half mile walk in the pitch black to a point on a gps.
sit and wait.

AND 7 geese on the way back out.

One more on the way out that we had hit and it sailed almost to the truck before dropping out of the sky.
All and all a fun trip.

where I hunt geese now the gane laws only allow 10 shells per hunter.  With 2 guys we sometimes need to use other buddies shells if we haven't limited out.  Makes one wait, and avoid sky-blasters

When I first starter to reload shotgun shells, I always took 3-4 boxes for each of us.  Seem to remember they were heavy to carry out into a goose blind....BUT lighter carrying them back.  they just seemed to disppear.  One thing with only 10 shots available...one doesn't waste shells on crippled birds...run 'em down and body slam them...neck twisting is an art with a bird that has those big heavy wings and a beak.

I'll quit complaining about how heavy my pack is. I think you have me beat by several pounds.
