Just got back from a stint at the beach again. Seems this year they had a tourney for white marlin, 1 million winner take all! The miss's just looked at me and said, "It's a family vacation, not your vacation".....Anyone else up for it next year? Maybe grab some tuna on the way? Do the Peninsula and south, say OC to OB? I would imagine the entry is steep, but just to go after them would be worth it IMO.
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!

check out the details.  I would be up for just a good fishing trip.  No contest needed.

I know some folks who do that million dollar contest....BIG boats offshore.

Got friends with a 42' charter boat in Myrtle I can get for a really great price. Parked right next to the guys from Wicked Tuna. I'ld just be happy to bait fish and drink bourbon. Seriously, what the hell would I do with a 600 pound tuna or 1000 pound + sailfish other then sell them and buy more booze?

Little sidenote to this past trip. Had blue crab a couple different ways while down there....CB was right, none were all that great.

Also had a 4" softshell grab my toe while in the ocean....guess I didn't taste good enough or he figured I was well enough manicured to leave me alone and let me go.
