My assumptions occasionally get the better of me. Turns out there are 150 gr. options for the 270! So both would be valid options. Thought the 130's were the biggest for it...my bad. This does not mean that you should not scratch your itch for a more..."suitable" choice   <--- when the missus asks.
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!

Berger also came out with a 170 grain bullet in .277.

From what I have read the standard twist rate won't stabelize the 170 grain bullets. I bet their isn't a long line at the gunsmiths shop waiting to rebarrel their .270 for a faster twist rate just so someone can have the opportunity to have one bullet option.

As i said, don't own a 270 winchester...nothing against them, just never 'needed' one.

Well, as you know I've become custodian of my son's guns..for 3 years.  Noticed a nice 270 Ruger special edition with a great scope there.  Thinking I might take it out west for antelope...my 260 will cry for days, but!

The .270 is a great antelope cartridge. I think that would be a great choice Bear.

'Cept the apology to your .260 might take more than days.
