Caught a nice 22" trout in a stream yseterday.  A heavy fish, good fighter.  I return it.

But could not id it.

help
It was definitely a trout salmon.  Was silver with little color unlike a bow.  It had lots of BLACK dots/spots, but not like a brown nor brook.  Spots wer sort of diamond shape.

what was the stranger?????

definitely a trout/salmon.

Where I was fishing is a deep valley, no cell phone sevice.  so I turn my phone off (dain on battery when it constantly searches for tower).  tried to turn cell phone on to get pic, but it was searching, no pic.

long fight getting it into net, my net is 36 inches deep, so I could judge the siz.  I decided the fish was stressed and got it back in water.  Revived it for 20 minutes.
So no pic!

If it had any pink or lateral stripinng, I'd have thought bow, or bow hybrid.  really was more like a coho in silver sided.
