BOY we hit that just right.
Blasted out from my house at 4:00 AM. Up the gravel to our local , 100 miles away , mussel infested lake, for a little walleye fishing.
Wind was going to rip so both boats stayed at there respective homes. AND it did rip.
Started out slow with a small sauger , but picked up fast and just kept going ...
Caught a bunch of walleyes turned back a bunch too. The goldeye where not bad but we did get quite a few , and a red tail sucker , on a jig by the way.

We kept 4 ,15 to 16 inchers and one that is my personal best at 27"

Great eating and bait as a bonus, way to go.
Did you pass the FWP inspection?

Thanks
The big one was well over 5 maybe around 6 pounds.
You gota get white suckers for bait, the red tail suckers like that one have huge scales and don't work as bait.
They are barn swallows just taken with a crappy point and shoot Kodak camera in the air.

ou got to love the way barn swallows fly.
zigging/zagging to catch bugs. we need more of them,
less bugs.

Fishing this morning, casting a plastic 7" shad for
muskies. no takers. arm is tired. need to get boat in
so I can troll for muskies and drift for eyes.

good luck, keep a tight line dale.

Use just the bellies, cut into strips and use like pork rind, bass and pike love them, in the lilies.

When we was kids, we robbed some swallow nests, just before they flew and brought them home, releasing them at pond. They nested under eves and 45yrs later still come back every year. Cut way back on skeeters, every evening you can still watch them working bugs, at sunset the bats, we brought home, (from neighbor's dairy barn, while catching pigeons) take over. Bats took over "birdhouse" on north end of barn. Swallows prefer south and west eves.
