As I type this my daughter in law is in the OR in California delivery twin sons by C section. My son who was scheduled to return from a 6 month diving deployment today is somewhere over the Pacific between Oahu and LA. His flight is due to land in about 5 hours so he'll miss the birth by about 6 hours. They were counting on his being home in time for delivery but the little guys can't wait. They are about 5 weeks early. Any thoughts and prayers you can offer up for a safe and healthy delivery will be appreciated. Rockydog

Update! The boys were delivered last night without incident. One weighed 5-11 and the other 4-8. Small, but healthy. They'll be in the Hospital a few days, mainly for observation. Mom called us about an hour after they were born. I haven't heard from my son yet but assume he made it a few hours later. Thanks for your help. RD

Chikee, Their names are Caden and Ashton. Ashton is the little guy he's in the infant ICU with a little irregular breathing but should be out in the morning. RD

Congrats.  Tell the proud parents that I know what they are going through.  My little angels were born 7 1/2 weeks early one at 4.5 and the other at 4.8.  They stayed in the hospital for 10 days and I don't think momma got any sleep at all.  They are now 5 1/2 years old, 48 inches tall and top of their class...so much for the premie myth about them being small, slow and unable to keep up.

Tell the happy couple to get some rest because their lives just got turned upside down and a whole lot harder...I have no pity on those who have them one at a time. They will need your help so be there when you can even if it is just so Mom can get some sleep.  It does get easier but the first two years are the toughest.

If you have any questions I will be happy to help.
