I made an electric trailer tug to move the boats and other trailers around where a truck would have a hard time of it. Most out trailers with something on them have way to much tongue weight for the 4wheelers to move.
It works great on very hard packed ground and pavement. Not so good in the soft gravel like under my boat port, where I NEED the tug.
I used the riding mower wheels that are wide but defiantly 4wheeler tires. When the trailer wheels start to push much gravel the tug starts to dig two holes. It has a live axle so both wheels turn the same.
I had two broken truck chains that I re worked to fit the tug and the cross links I moved a lot closer together. I did not have the "Big" boat to try it on but it now will push the snowmobile and trailer in with out much problem now, still digs a little but way better.

Neat machine. Good fix with fat tires & chains.

Might let some air out of tires also.  they are low pressure, but lower would let them have a bigger ground print/engagement.  No worry about wear, doubt you will put even 1 mile on them in your use.

I'm running them as soft as I can and not drag the chain on the tug.
