I'm not a tournament fisherman, like to fish too much to try and make it into a business or contest.

this is the end of the week of practice for the 2005 Classic.  So the 50 contestants have not been allowed to fish the contest waters (nor fly over them) for the last 6 months.  From my office I can see about 1 mile of the contest area shoreline.  So all week I've sneak bino views of the 'testers'.  This area is not a largemouth water, more small mouth.  I've not seen those southern 'good-olde-boys' catch a single fish this week.

In fairness they don't usually fish but just scout depths, etc this week.  But it is funny to see them fly by and then circle quick to fish a certain stretch (most have hit two spots close to me (no fish there but from the surface it does look fishy.

Can't wait to see the espn coverage and how 'professional' fisherman work the area.

I don't know where you are BUt we get lots of Small and Big time tourneys on Mississippi River in Wisc and Iowa--We fish a few Muskie tournies around here and  one bass BUT biggies come roaring out at 6am and here we are sitting on our favorite hole- where they want to be- Can't figure how we got there so fast-Duh we get up early and don't have their time constraints- limited by 9am fri.(10 fish) Muskie Tourney is 3 day intense fishing with rods etc for prizes more fun than $$ and I like that. I also like fishing too much to work at it for just $$
