Yep, I'm addicted to Old Bay.  a seasoning that is the one for Cheasepeake crabs.  love the stuff.  At MyYGAWDS I always have a can in my pocket.  even make Missouri River dinner taste good.   But to CB's amazement  the Montana Club Restaurant has it on their menu.

So I don't get to Cheaseapek often but love the stuff, I buy it always  (locally in cans).

But as a pre-martini treat I make old bay peanuts.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups roasted unsalted peanuts

24 pieces of bacon (cooked & crumbled)

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay

1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Sugar

1 Tablespoon of melted butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 250°F.

Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Thoroughly mix and toss to make sure the peanuts are evenly coated.

Place the nuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a  Make sure the nuts are arranged into a single layer.

Bake for 15 minutes, then stir. Bake an additional 15 minutes.

Cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes, allowing the spice to firmly adhere to the nuts. Put in a bowl and mix in bacon pieces. Store in an airtight container.

I'll try to bring a can to summer MYGAWDS.

It looks like I am going to be spending a little more time around the house for a while. I'll try this recipe. It sounds great.

I just hope I can find some Old Bay seasoning.
