Texadan;

We're glad you joined, and even happier to see you posting!  I'm gonna presume that if you found us through HB, that you roll yer own too.  Which obviously means you gotta have some sort of project or quest goin' on.

We're here to throw in our $.02 on 'bout any subject you want to bring up, be it a new gun, find a load for a gun, motorcycles, SWMBO'S, and the merits (or lack thereof) of fine sippin' whiskey.  On t'other hand we've also been known to point fingers, cast aspersions, and spit tobacco juice.  So please feel free to pull up a seat & have at it.

of my equipment and I been readin everthin I have put my
hands on. Aint go no place in the house I can do any of
the work so I been gettin my shed out back set up for
just that. Its a slow process, tryin to get it all put
together so I can get things started. But right now I got
nuthin but time. d4570, I wish I did. I'd probly be
spendin most of my time there. Sure wud be nice tho.
Thanks to y'all for welcomin me in. I appreciate it. I
gotta few Bang Sticks, mainly WW2 stuff. Kinda like a
collector I guess. But If I cant shoot it I aint gonna
own it. Gotta few newer ones to. My biggest inspiration
is my 11 year old son. He'll be 12 saturday and we like
goin to the range together and makin noise.

Thanks again y'all for the welcomes. I appreciate that. I
really enjoy hearin folks say that their kids are out
kickin the dirt with them. Specially when they are young
and wanna hang out with Dad or Granddad. I think thats
pretty cool. Nowadays they just dont do that no more.
Whata shame to. My daughter in 22, married now. NO kids
yet. Shes kinda smart. Dont want kids till they get some
time alone and figure out herself and her hammerhead
husband. I guess I shudnt be so critical with him. BUT,
Is there anybody thats really good enuf for Daddys little
girl? I'd like to be able to get out a little more with
my son, we do what we can. It just dont seem to be enuf.
It never does. Thanks again Y'all.....

Texadan;

My son's 35 & my daughter's 28, both shoot though my daughter's time is pretty limited.  She's been crankin' out grandbabies, first one and then 19 months later, twins!  Not a lot of free time there.  But her husband hunts with us & is a good guy.  My son's getting into long range, & I'm just happy to shoot something sometime somewhere.  Mostly .22 rimfire at a little critter we call a 'gopher', which is actually a small ground squirrel.

Welcome Texadad.  this has been an interesting and inforative place.

Membership has been down so most of use monitor and chat most days.

We need your new stories.

Nice to see you.

A 12 year old...that is great.  Probably the best years for fathers and sons.  I've got a 37 and a 34 year old...love them both; but they aren't as much fun as when they were when they were 12.

Be glad he's young. Mine went with me yesterday and has expensive tastes. He has a liking to Weatherby's with a beer budget. Sadly enough, it is not much more then a case of .22lr these days.
