You will love the 444.  It is in my opinion the best 'overlooked' rifle around.  I shoot a lot of Marling lever guns (450, 45-70,375, 35 rem, 30-30) and the 444 is still my favorite big gun.  Now, I do have favorites  in the 38-55 and the 375 win....but they are light cartridge rifles.
