Well, the boys and I are all in for our first AZ deer application. We applied for deer, sheep and bison. I applied with the youngest son for archery elk, no dice there. Hopefully we get something for deer, if not, we'll get the OTC archery tag. Sheep and Bison are low (very low) odds, but you gotta apply. We are within a 15min drive of the best Desert BH sheep hunting in the country. We see big rams every time we drive up there, so why not apply! Should have the Colorado results today or tomorrow to see if we got a deer tag there. I want to go hunting SO BAD!!!

They are difficult. Back home in NY you just bought your license and went hunting when the season opened. But, western hunting is so much better, bigger tracts of land, different game and a wide range of habitat, that I understand why they do it. We bought preference points for CO for 2yrs so we were pretty sure we would draw, but that's never a guarantee.  Now the preparation, I need to get my loading bench setup, I'm not 100% sure what rifle I'm taking, but probably my 280. I think I have enough rounds loaded, but want to make sure. Then I gotta shoot it...got to get ready!!

I put in for antelope and elk. Results will be in on June 15th.
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

In Montana or Wyoming? My buddy applied for MT antelope. I may apply next year, I wanna get a lope. Gonna see how this goes in CO, we had 2 points to draw this particular deer tag. May go back to Idaho next year...not sure yet. Lots of options, but tags seem to come harder then they used to. I would like to be able to hunt deer with a rifle where I live...

I’m as excited as a kid on Christmas morning! My card just got hit for an Arizona deer tag! I don’t know which one of us drew it, nor do I care. I’m so excited!

Most exciting for sure!Clap
We got ZERO so far. Antelope, crane, and swan yet to be drawn. There is still possible damage deer and elk hunts that come up later in the year.
Over the counter we each can buy 2 deer and 2 elk tags. Then there is Bison chances of drawing that one is like .0000001% but maybe.
