Crappy certified Brigs and Stratton work

     Still need warrantee work on our Mud Buddy motor.In the sticks I guess I should be happy I don't have to drag the boat back to Utah.
Remember we had some issues with our new boat. It turns out the regulator was the culprit. Well still not fixed. The Brigs and Straiten rep had to certified a dealer here to do the work as we don't have a certified shop here, just a place that does Brigs lawnmower sales and repair. My boy had issues with them before, they got a Toro mower some time back and could NEVER get it fixed. Anyway, the regulator has been ordered 3 times each time after a day in the shop, each time was the "Wrong" one, they have another one "On order".
In the mean time we had them change the brake in oil at the 10 hour mark as required by MB. We had been using the boat serval time, by taking two batteries and just running off the battery.
We are talking another 5 hours of running. We would notice a little oil on a plate the motor mounts to. We would just wipe it up and blame it on sloppy work and not pay attention. WELL. It kept happening. The boy got to looking the other day, and saw it, the drain plug was backed out a 1/4 just hanging on with a bout a 1/8 still in. It could have fallen out at any time on the water running.
AND we have to take it back in to this shop to finish the regulator job. I'm going to call my Mud Buddy, buddy's and let them know how things are going...

	I'd also copy B&S on those comments. It is tough to control your own repair shops, but MB is trying to compare a suppliers repair shop. Generally poor mechanical/electric shop work. Dealer forgot to put oil in my wifes car when she took it in for a change. Most places don't change the oil filters, but always charge for new filter and the extra oil.

	That's exactly why if at all possible I do my own mechanic work. Working at a car wash, I have had countless customers come in saying that an oil change place left their drain plug loose and they wanted to get the undercarrage wash to try to get the oil off. When I grease my newer pickup I grease 13 fittings on the front end and 1 U-joint. I had my oil changed one time and stayed out in their shop and they greased 4. When I asked them if they were going to finish greasing it they said they were done. I've done it myself every since. Wing master
