Fella's;

I have no desire for a bear skin rug, & the cost is
insane for the process as far as I'm concerned. So,
I just threw the skin out. Well, so happens the Fame &
Gish has to see it. So yesterday I hauled it into town &
reported the bear kill to the regional Fame & Gish
office. I also told them this was the Monarch nuisance
bear that had been reported to them.

The reporting was done by a gal on her computer, she
asked the questions & I replied. It was obvious, to me
anyway, that many of the questions were designed to get
you to incriminate yourself out of your own mouth. No
warning was given that your replies could involve you in
a game violation. Then the hide had to be inspected.

I had my son with me because I knew the hide no longer
had evidence of sex attached. The coyotes took care of
that. However, he had cel phone pics of it with the sex
being very evident. I told the person doing the
inspection that I could also round up about five other
people who would confirm the boar status of the bear.
That person told me that if the warden had a problem with
it, he'd get ahold of me. The hide then had a band
attached to it to confirm it had been reported.

As it was reported to him, and he confirmed evidence of
the nuisance factor, I would hope that this will slide.
But I'm on the fence for about a week I'd imagine. Fun
with the Fame & Gish once again. I do a public service
to the community and now have this hangin' over me. And
they wonder why they don't get no respect.

Remember you were just talking to 'staff'. Probably
some politicians niece.

Government organizations get anial. The last griz was
killed in Colorado when it attacked an archer who was
gutting his deer. after mauling him he used an arrow
from his quizer to repeatedly stab the chest as the
bear was on top of him. badly beaten he got medical
help.

The F&G people charged him with a crime for killing a
protected species. At trial judge threw it out. But
really!!!

I'm a leaf no trace, and take nothing. sort of a
modified SSS.

Really. That's insane. I thought you said you had talked to them ahead of time and they had "blessed" the "euthanization."

As for the guy who killed the griz that was trying to kill and eat him ... what happened to "self-defense"? You could legally do in a person for doing less, but you get arrested for defending yourself against a bear????

Think it's bad now? Just wait until after 1/20/17.

Cascade;

Not quite right on the "you had talked to them". Residents
of Monarch had talked with him. I just got their reports
of that conversation. We shall see what we shall see.
However, if at least a week goes by without a ticket, I'd
think I could successfully argue in court that with my five
witnesses and the delay, that it should be thrown out.
