Congratulations to you and SIL. Got a nice buck and a fine collection of weed seeds for next years planting. Sounds like#1 son will now have the ranch herd all to himself. If finding that the bear meat makes great chili also, I just add a littel sage and it tastes like that delicious MTantelope. Edited by BEAR |

Man that sounds like a good time.
I suppose when you get your new pocket knife you'll have to carve a notch in the Sweede? DD |

Fella's; The weather was wet, cold, and thoroughly nasty. Consequently, the .30-06 Tikka did the job. The Swede will have to wait. I'm kinda particular about that gun these days. Ya know? 900F |

Thank you Urban. As a follow-up, my son got his antelope doe on our property two weeks later. He made a nice 300 yard shot with his .300 Winchester magnum off a bipod. So, now everybody has filled the goat tag. We've also all filled the deer tag. The only things left are the elk tags - with one exception. I've put in for a bison tag and been informed I've made the first cull. Therefore I'm one of 2516 hunters eligible for one of the 54 alloted tags that I put in for. I'm not holding my breath. 900F |

Last year we got to shoot 170+ bison out of well over a 1000 that wandered out of the park. I only put in for Bull only , don't want no stinken cow/calf. I don't want the meat anyway...
