Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileI tagged out a week ago, the "Kids" still had tags so they where hunting, daughter and GD where home ill, wife worked. I had 4 days to work on the bug and truck.
I put LED bulbs in the fog/driving lights, added two LED light bars up front, and LED backup lights.
the boat really came together, Got the rudders on and working nice, had to do a little beefing up now that there "Free standing" and I had it all apart so I redid the cables up on the steering handle bars, work much better. The gas tank is re plumbed and a better plan on the vent. I also marked the gas cap fuel gauge, where 5 ,10, and 15 gal are. Tweaked the trailer with a little different " Bunk" set up.
Still to do, I have a 5 v and a 3 v -12 volt transformers for a phone port and a GPS port that need to be installed, with some kind of mount for either. A "kill" switch on the handle bars, needed now that the prop is always "Live". I'll put in my most aggressive pitch blocks now that I changed the ratio to 1.6 to 1.
I even took 3 hours out of my sleep and went night calling coyotes, no luck but interesting. I need a bigger kill light.
ALL that said, we still have some "Water" for a water test.
The lakes are frozen but the river is still liquid. I know of an access that is close and slow big hole that is MILES from a dam. The boy will have his rescue boat on seen, just in case.
We set next Sunday aside for the test, hope it doesn't all freeze.

How do you like the LED light bars on your truck? I have been thinking about adding some to Rusty.

Also, Rusty has 4 sealed beam headlights. My other thought was to replace just the high beam lights with some kind of really bright LED.

Thoughts?

Those 4 sealed beam lights WERE great.  you could aim the bright separate from the low beams.

The make replacement LED for the old  sealed beam, but there $$$.
So far I'm liking them, They light up the barrow pits and the fields but may be TO MUCH light in a snow storm or fog. I need to replace the head lights with something too you cant tell if there even on, no difference on low or high, you cant run them any were there is other traffic.

The 4 headlights has been pretty good.

I'm not sure why I need more light. I probably wouldn't use it much.

The reason I was thinking about it is this year setting up elk camp it was starting to get dark. we got the tent set up fine, but it made me think about it.

Seems Rusty could be comfortable with that one.

I had the saame model on my 1952 Jeep truck.
