Here's a recipe using Brie, pasta & sauce:

  • 3 TBS chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 28 oz can of Progresso Plum tomatoes with puree & basil
  • 1 16 oz can of plum tomatoes (I run them thru the blender )
  • 5 to 6 fresh basil leaves chopped
  • 1 to 2 TBS sugar
  • a wedge of Brie Cheese(peeled or not)
  • a 1 pound bag of Bow Tie Pasta

Saute garlic in the olive oil in a deep heavy skillet. Add remaining ingredients except the Brie and pasta. Simmer, stirring often until the sauce is hot, then turn off the burner.

Cook the pasta in boiling water til done. Cut the Brie in 1/4 slices and add to the sauce to melt, then fold in the pasta and serve with a salad and some Italian or French Bread. We add some grated Romano cheese to the pasta.

This very tasty recipe has been passed around to our friends and family.
